Welcome to the Dubuque County Bar Association

The Dubuque County Bar Association (DCBA) was founded as a nonprofit professional organization for attorneys. Its mission is to promote professionalism and camaraderie within the legal community, to aid in the administration of justice, to enhance the delivery of and access to quality legal services, to educate the public about the legal system, and to actively participate in the success of the community at large.

Today the DCBA has almost 200 local attorneys in a variety of legal specialities. The DCBA offers at least 7 hours of CLE opportunities annually, a golf outing and holiday gathering. Attorneys duly licensed to practice in the State of Iowa are eligible for membership.

Dubuque County Young Lawyers Division

The Dubuque County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division serves as a resource for young lawyers practicing in Dubuque County to develop, enhance, and foster a balanced professional life. The Young Lawyers Division hosts a number of social, networking and outreach events throughout the year including monthly networking “Happy Hour” events at local restaurants/pubs, an annual Spring Social, a summer golf outing, a fall fundraiser, a holiday mixer, and monthly lunch meetings.

Individual membership is open to Dubuque County Bar Association members under 40 years old or admitted to practice for ten years or less.
